The Paul Kirk North Lincs CycloSportive, now in its ninth year is always a sell out so be sure to grab your place quick! Every year, we fight to keep costs down whilst improving the event. By using a more cost effective entry system we have managed to do this at no cost increase for the riders, the price is  £20 plus £1 admin fee.

With three great routes on offer to choose from, 43, 64 and the classic 100 mile . For the 100 mile route the choice to follow this doesn’t need to be made until you get to the split point of the ride at 45 miles in, see how you feel on the day.
The shorter is ideal for those who may be wanting to try out a sportive but feel the normal distances are just a little to far.
With our ever popular feed stations offering a choice of wraps by our friends at the Coffee Stop, tea, coffee, cake and SIS bottle top ups, we keep you going to the end whichever route you choose.

Entries will be available on the day (subject to maximum entries limit) price is £25, please bring the correct cash value. Registration is open from 7am to 9:30am and you must have set off by 10am. All routes must be completed by 5pm.

The sportive is organised by Lincsquad with all profits being split equally between charities.

After the sad loss of Paul Kirk during the sportive in 2011 from a previously unknown heart complaint, the North Lincs CycloSportive was permanently renamed to ‘The Paul Kirk North Lincs Cyclosportive’. Paul was a keen cyclist and charity fund raiser and this is a fitting tribute in his memory.

This year we will be raising money for two charities. The Nottinghamshire & Lincolnshire Air Ambulance Trust and for this year the Sick Childrens Trust

airambulance The Lincolnshire and Nottingham Air Ambulance (http://www.ambucopter.org.uk/) has assisted Lincsquadders and many other cyclists over the years however their work involves potentially everybody from road accidents, recreational activities and critical patient transfers. In February 2013, Lincsquad tragically lost a club mate, committee member & friend, Christian Brown, in a tragic cycling accident. Christian was airlifted to Hull Royal Infirmary in a critical condition by the Lincolnshire & Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance but unfortunately he didn’t recover.

The Sick Childrens Trust (www.SickChildrensTrust.org) were one of the charities that assisted Lincsquadders Chris and Nicola whilst their son Leo underwent treatment and Lincsquad are proud to help recognise all their work and efforts.

 

Both charities are extremely worth while and well deserving of our support, on their behalf, Lincsquad thank you for your support.

Competitor Withdrawal
If for any reason “the applicants“ who have already successfully entered an event find themselves unable to race and wish to withdraw from the event, the applicant must inform the event organizer in writing.

This must be done initially via e-mail to the organiser. It is the responsibility of the applicant to ensure that their request has been received.

Applicants who withdraw no latter than 2 weeks prior to the vent will receive a credit note for 50% of the original entry value.

Please note the swapping of entries between competitors is strictly forbidden as it invalidates insurances undertaken by the promoters to cover the event. Athletes found to have passed or taken up another competitors entry will not be allowed to take part in the event and no refund or credit note will be issued.

Applicants not notifying the organisers of their wish to withdraw from the event within two weeks of the event or later, or who do not attend the race/event will not receive any form of refund/credit.
